So i'm trying to get into wearing contacts again. This is practically a saga by this point.

I go in, get my eyes checked to make sure my prescription didn't change..

the optometrist gets me a trial pair. says to come back in two weeks and i find out through literal trial and error that the left one is absolutely perfect, no issues. the one in my right is just a teensy bit blurrier.

the checkup appt comes up and i go in. they end up doing a contact lense check and i tell them what i found out and he gets someone to order me a different brand of contact lense with a slightly higher prescription for my right eye

so i finally got it and am trying the old left one with the new right one..

right one fits perfectly. no issues. vision is fine.. but doesn't seem any clearer...

now my left one is blurrier than my right. what the fuck is going on with my damn eyes

i dont get how the left one is no longer crystal clear

things like blood sugar and such can affect vision a bit and it is possible se small difference like that could be affecting things.

things like sleep, medications, etc too. also hydration. maybe your left eye is dryer this time? lots of potential variables!

oh also depending on the kind of contacts if you're trying on a two week old contact in one eye, it is possible also that it has degraded a bit! esp if it is a soft contact. hard contacts shouldn't degrade that fast

if it is a hard contact iirc you probably want special cleaning solution for it. I vaguely recall from when I tried hard contacts I had a secondary cleaning solution I would wash them with periodically besides the stuff it soaks in when not in your eyes.

sorry if this is too much info or not helpful at all. I just remember having had plenty of issues of my own with getting clear vision with contacts to the point I eventually gave up lol but I think my main issues were related more to my extreme myopia rather than the contacts themselves

No no. Those are all things I hadn't thought of before tbh. It's all very helpful things I'll have to consider going forwards and it may help me figure out what's up with my one eye next time I wear those contacts again
