[Work] As if I needed another reason to quit this job: I had to explain to my current boss that my contract states I get paid for public holidays.

He paid me too much while I was away taking care of Nu. Which, like an idiot, I told him happened.

We finally had time today to discuss how to pay that back. He kept insisting that the amount I came to didn't include a few days I had been off.

Which were public holidays. Long story short it ended with calculators, calanders, and contracts. After going through the triple Cs he agreed I was correct in my figures.

But he's still going to send it to his accountant to be sure. He did keep apologising throughout that this wasn't what he was good at and he just needed to wrap his head around it. So it wasn't like he was being malicious or anything. Just confused

But it just stung a bit thinking: this is the type of work I thought I was being hired to do and you clearly need someone organised like me to do it.

I really hope the job I accepted starting in August is better

So it's not like I'm mad or upset that it happened. It's probably good he wanted to make sure he was doing things correctly this time, but still, just frustrating
