there's a concept of anti-NFTs outside of the environmental aspect that likes to argue that artists must starve and suffer for their work to be valid, which i find inherently disgusting. have a problem with the environmental cost? fine. think artwork is only valid if the artist cant feed themselves? ahaha eat a dick.

my main issue, beyond climate stuff, is that none of it has any real value. but like what was said above, we're turning into a sentiment-based trading economy, so it works. all this "it has value if the buyer thinks it does" works. right up until it doesn't anymore
