stuff (p-music) Listening to Part One by The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band. More weird stuff I listened to when I was a young kid.

Musical taste? Nah, I have none of that. (p-laugh)

When I was a kid I didn't have a radio to listen to. Just a Sears record player and my parents' record collection. My father listened to the stranger, psychedelic stuff. My mother was more into the Rolling Stones and Motown.

My father used to play his weird music all the way back when I was 4 (earliest I can remember, surprisingly enough) and probably even before that. We had a large turntable cabinet where the doors folded out and you could pull out the turntable. I remember listening while sitting or lying upon the living room floor.

This band took Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention's "Help, I'm a Rock", which was ALREADY weird, and made it weirder, haha.

Like, OK, I guess that's an accomplishment, haha.

And this song is also wacky, haha. The weird spoken background vocals always made me think Frankenstein's Monster was speaking.

About 1 minute in the musical cacophony starts. Then 24 seconds later it sounds like it's going to make sense, then OOPS 15 seconds later, NOPE!
