[China vs Covid]: We'll be slowly released by July.
Alexceptional
First week of June some schools and companies will be going back to in-person. That will continue through til July.
papermint tiger
Jeez
papermint tiger
I mean, good but
papermint tiger
Jumping right back into in-person after intense lockdowns
papermint tiger
Okay
Alexceptional
papermint tiger
I will hope they don't suddenly reverse this and that you will soon be free
Alexceptional
I want to be happy about this but honestly I'm just scared.
Alexceptional
Yeah, exactly
Alexceptional
They have teased us with freedom a lot and then 1 case pops up on the other side of the alley and we are back to "no one in or out"
Alexceptional
We've been in lockdown since about March 20th. I missed an entire season lol
Alexceptional
I honestly, like. Most people can go back to normal right but some people didn't make it in these conditions
Alexceptional
Not from covid but from these lockdown conditions
Alexceptional
How do you accept this offer for normalcy when nothing is really going to be normal again?
Alexceptional
There's a lot of news stories of --- actually hmn. Let's not go there
Alexceptional
Let's instead say, it's not going to be the same and I'm angry that normal is expected. That we can just go back to work or school like a lightswitch
papermint tiger
Yeah...yeah.
Alexceptional
I'm not going to say I'm traumatized by this experience
Alexceptional
Wait no, I take that back. I was just thinking about it and ya. Lot's of trauma lmao
Alexceptional
I've been dictating what can be eaten and how to save on food or oil or just general ingredients and I don't think I can shake that. Or the routine of waking up at 8am to do a covid test.
Alexceptional
There are little kids, like toddlers, that just open their mouths when they see a hazmat suit or doctor. We've been trained
Alexceptional
Like some of this, will go away with time. New routines, that kinda thing. But saving on things I didn't consider necessities before
Alexceptional
I ran out of medicine for my eczema ... 2 weeks ago? And I've just been dealing with it. I look forward to getting more but it's a weird blockade of "I don't have to use it until it gets really bad because what if I can't get more tomorrow"
Alexceptional
Very hoarder mindset because they've made us stand on our toes with regulations shifting so quickly and so drastically that who knows what we can or can't do tomorrow or next week
Alexceptional
I'm at least aware that I've picked up some of these habits and mindsets but I don't know how to get rid of them. Maybe time is all that's needed?
Alexceptional
But I'm getting ahead. We aren't out yet. So fingers crossed we can see the sun by July. I'd like to be able to eat from a restaurant from my birthday lol
Alexceptional
^ in 2 months
Alexceptional
Setting our expectations real low
Alexceptional
Progress?
Alexceptional
So one person can go out two times in a five day period for a set time range.
Alexceptional
I guess that's an improvement?
Alexceptional
Because I live in a split apartment, that just got halved lol
Alexceptional
So Phil or I can go out 1 time
Alexceptional
In 5 days
Alexceptional
Beggars can't be choosers I suppose
