so, i have dropped off the face of the earth plurk for a VERY EXCITING reason

which is that WE SIGNED A LEASE FOR THE STORE LOCATION

selling games and comics will be SOON!!!!! soon...

but the building has. so much fucking reno to do

so we've been doing that for the past month, and have another month ahead of us at least

!!!!!

we got a BIG space (~6000+ sq ft) and are splitting it up into sections to work on over time

we WILL be doing online sales once we like, have stuff to sell, so /points at eyes, points at y'all

we have so many funny stories about this building though

its smack in the middle of a strip mall with a FUCKING HUGE (landmark-sized) sign up top that's ours (and we discovered it LIGHTS UP)

the strip mall is the type that has been built up slowly over the decades

our particular slot has been occupied since the 70s by carpet stores (two of them; the first one we have a shitload of paperwork for that we stumbled across, including some cool historical shit relating to the railroads that used to define the town and their RADIO AND TV SCRIPTS) and then a stupid amazon bin store for 3 months

and the last carpet store (which just moved locations and is still in business) did some HECKIN STUFF to the construction in here

like building walls without mounting them to ... anything????

and lets not talk about the mess they made of the electricals (not a dangerous mess, just a WHY mess)
