clean a house? nice
feed herself and cook when she needs to? been doing it since she was tiny

reasonably understand people and interact with them without relying on comedy or her default nature of being 'the assistant' character? hard mode

recognize that people aren't also always asking her to assume that role and in fact some people get kind of irritated by her doing that? oh no

like maya even has the 22 extra years of memories in the other ryslig but the thing is like. her life wasn't that much different and her aunt still kept her isolated, just with the addition of Phoenix also being her blood brother so she had at least one more person besides Mia to give her a view of the world

and they're not entirely real either in the first place so the application of those memories is differnt

she just. she's never been a part of like, high school girl groups. She didn't go to sleepovers or do anything that wasn't watch adventure shows (in canon, samurai movies) by herself

she was pretty much Rapunzel when she left at 17 and has been coasting on her life through the role she plays in her video game and the fact that more of her friends are older men than they are people her age

it's part of why her relationship with Riley has been so deliciously rocky, like, she has no reference for the kind of person Riley is comfortable with and Riley has no idea why Maya is the way she is
