research as to whether anything other than shooting stars can break the mold is still ongoing

but it is looking increasingly like that they are unique in that aspect

it's kind of hard to get shooting stars and mold in the same space to see if the mold breaks, so it's even a bit of a devil's proof as to even those can but until we see evidence to the contrary we should take smash mouth's word on it
