My hottest fandom take is that Star Trek Generations is the best of the TNG movies, and absolutely kicks the shit out of First Contact\

Is it GOOD? no

But it's very well-directed, has a reasonably watchable script, and even if it's kind of depressing that they got Shatner and Stewart in the same room and couldn't think of anything better to do with them than to have a Old Man Fist Fight with Malcolm McDowell, they do play off of each other pretty well

Wereas First COntact has one of the worst fucking scripts I've ever seen

Remember when they did a whole movie entirely about trauma and the only thing they could think to do with Troi was have her get absolutely blasted off of her face

Also it inflicted the Borg Queen on us and we’ve never been able to get rid of her
