I have never played a fromsoft game in my life but I fucking adore watching lore videos on yt and the elden ring theory videos are starting to come out in force

time to watch a bunch and form strong opinions about which youtubers have missed the point entirely despite not consuming the source material whatsoever

this is how fromsoft games are meant to be consumed, imho

I have no desire to get good I just want to armchair anthropologist my way through a new batshit cosmology

tbh i think elden ring's lore is fascinating from this standpoint

from what i understand, martin wrote the cosmology and history of the gods, then gave it to miyazaki to write the Shattering and everything post-Shattering

from what I've seen so far it seems like just the right amount of incoherent

...Oh, no. Another fictional universe to invest in despite not planning to play the games.

Given my feelings about Michael Kirkbride, this is going to be fun.
