Having a major "I'm don't want to live on this planet anymore (and I'm cramming all my friends in my escape pod too)" kind of day

I hate that it feels like the whole world is taking step backwards and being proud of itself for it. like rome is burning and its leaders are actively lighting the fires

like politicians and corporations have figured out the worst, most exploitable parts of human psychology and are gleefully abusing that knowledge it get what they want, no matter how badly it effects the people they're supposed to be protecting

and I'm not a billionaire, so there's nothing I can do about any of it

addressing the latest abortion bullshit: how about we fix the child welfare system, the foster system, food assistance, housing assistance. public education systems, etc, before we force more unwanted children into those crumbling infrastructures

in fact, we shouldn't be allowed to talk about banning abortion at all until all those things are fixed

but no, babies existing is more important than the suffering that they're probably going to be subjected to after they're born, because you won't lift a finger to help them once they're out of the womb

pro birth, not pro life
