i would say that when he was human, william the bloody very much felt like he had to be the pursued but ultimately was stuck in victorian gender roles that he ended up fumbling at being the pursuer. but with drusilla, he was very much pursued and that's why he fell in love with her because she swept him up and was like "i'm going to make you worse baby boy"
as spike......................... well, he's long since embraced his bad boy persona to the point where it is... you know, more or less just him. so at that point he's a pursuer. the thing about lacking a soul is that ethics absolutely does not naturally factor into your decision making. so all vampires very much act on unfiltered desire.
when he fell for buffy, his immediate reaction was to go stalk her house, and then sneak in when nobody was home and stealing her clothes, and making a shrine of photos of her. because he's fucking insane. his actual attempts at pursuing her aren't as aggressive until she rejects him and triggers him, and then his pursuit is "i'll just kill her. same thing"
9. How much does your character say "I love you"? Does it differ depending on to whom? Do they say it first? Do they say it often, or is it reserved for special moments?
a lot. he is very unrestrained with his affection in this way, and it's very important to him that his partner knows that he loves them. like, it's not even important if they return it so long as they accept it. if they don't... well. points at the trial. he almost always says it first too.
10. How does your character react to the realization that they like someone else? Is it an “oh my god I’m never going to think about this again” thing, or are they pretty comfortable with it?
ruthless women. women who are cutthroat and probably bad for her, and would inevitably make her worse. that's the type she has that she's like... aware of.
but i'd say her actual type in terms of people she falls for is...... people who are stalwart and charismatic enough to gain her attention and respect. she's very into leaderly types, even the ones that might not be traditionally leaderly if they're the type to take charge when things go bad.
but she's generally very unrestrained with her fondness, though she will get embarrassed and defensive if she feels like other people are pointing it out or mocking her for it
especially if the praise is somewhat condescending. like as much as she throws around good boy and good girl as psychological warfare, if someone said that to her she'd blush. and if the degradation is about her being absolutely terrible at something and would be hopeless without her partner there to help. that'll do it.
8. Is your character a pursuer or do they like to be pursued?
