When they introduced G.U.N, I got really excited since I was like "oh man if we Sonic 3... will we get more SA elements???"

but when the post credits scene had bought us SHADOW... The whole theater just lost it

I also read the prequel comic to this too and there was a lot of great world building in that too!

Knuckles's story actually gave us a cameo to Team Chaotix so that says that we'll get more characters in the future too

And yeah I was actually drawing Amy yesterday and when I googled her some pics of peoples interpretations of her in movie style came up and I was like /dreamy sigh! Wouldn’t that be cool (as long as they make her a proper bamf and not a clingy fawning waif)

It covers what the characters were doing before Sonic 2 like we see Sonic building up his "Blue Justice" persona by sneaking out and taking down criminals hence why he was doing it at the start of the movie

Then Knuckles's story actually shows him traveling around the galaxy hunting for Sonic and while the comic doesn't touch why, he mentions that Sonic is his "one chance to restore what was lost" and we see different planets that he goes to and stuff!

And Tails's story is similar since he's also looking for Sonic, but yeah! Give it a good look

It was really neat to see that the game stages in the comic book are actually made to be planets instead one big world with different fields

AND YES... I hope Amy gets good characterization if she shows up in the movies. Shadow has also been a hot button topic for a while but I feel the movie treat him well

My big theory is that he'll get adopted by Rachael and Randall to mirror Sonic's adoption too

and if they bring in Maria into his backstory, then that will perfectly tie in to the whole theme of "lost and found" that they've been doing for both Sonic and Knuckles. Plus another reason how they can have Sonic connect with Shadow

Yeah, I was kind of confused over the tons of focus on the wedding/their relationship in this movie, but that does seem like a good way to introduce that dynamic for the next film

Especially since Randall is with G.U.N and in a way it can be the movie’s way of having Shadow join G.U.N in the end

Oh man... If Shadow joins G.U.N, that would be a good way to keep the Sonic/Shadow rivalry in tact since the whole reason that was formed was to keep Sonic on a leash

Sonic's gun-ho "gotta go fast" morality against Shadow's groundness would be good for future movies to explore and hopefully keep things on the same level of Adventure-era where they still have respect for each other even if they're on opposing sides

everyone got something to do from the human cast to the Sonic cast, everyone meshed so well, even Rock Stone had a bit part in taking out a dude
