The only other thing I've moved away from in recent years is procedural cop dramas. I was on an NCIS kick for a while. But I've kind of gotten away from watching a lot of that.
NETFLIX: animated/teen entertainment: Cardcaptor Sakura Avatar: The Last Airbender (the show, not the film) The Dragon Prince TrollHunters: Tales of Arcadia 3Below: Tales of Arcadia (Wizards is the last series to round it out, but I don't care for it as much) Sailor Moon Crystal Voltron: Legendary Defender (minus seasons 7-8 ) Klaus (film)
I've seen and loved Avatar! Need to finish Korra. Also need to finish Voltron... And SMC. CCS I heard so much about when I was in HS/college but never watched. I'll give all of these a look!
NETFLIX: live action fiction Hairspray Mystic Pop-up Bar (Korean, subtitled) Stargate SG-1 Midnight Diner (Japanese, subtitled) Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories (sequel to the above)
NETFLIX: competitions/documentaries/nature series/non-fiction The Great British Baking Show Flavorful Origins (food) Zumbo's Just Desserts (food, competition, competitor asshat, cw: panic attack) I can't in good conscience recommend "Nailed it!" but it is fun to watch for short stints for me. Secrets of the Saqqara Tomb (egypt, documentary)
(cont.) The World's Most Extraordinary Homes Our Planet Dancing with the Birds Alien Worlds (actual documentary, I swear) Bill Nye: Science Guy (modern Nye, harder hitting) Magical Andes (documentary) Night on Earth
We basically stopped watching Hulu and swapped over to Discoveryplus instead, where there's a bunch of true crime and documentaries and soft british shows
I go to Disney plus for nostalgia, primarily, tbh. All those classic films and some of the newer ones, too. Oh, and I like the first stage of Marvel movies, too. I check out their animal related shows now and then
Vox Machina is high fantasy, some of the characters can be frustrating, but the story is compelling. (If you've heard of Critical Role, this is the animated version of their first D&D campaign they never expected to make)
Iron Man: Armored Adventures on Disney+ is the Official Marvel High School AU and has the only non-racist depiction of the Mandarin I've ever seen and it's also dope as hell and has my boy Adrian Petriw voicing Tony :3
I have Netflix, Hulu, Prime, and Disney+. Give me recommendations!
