So this story is infuriating. I am not someone who needs a cane, but my best friend (33) does. I've also had a customer younger than that who needed a cane. I can only imagine the shit they have to go through.

When I ID'd her friend while he was buying cigarettes and was confirming they were for him, she offered to show her ID as well and I'm assuming this was a reflex because she got a little defensive about her cane. I said, and I quote, "Pardon my French, but "why" you need the cane is none of my damn business."

literally all I need to "know" is that you need it, and I don't need anything else. Wish more people would get that memo.
