In Skullgirls they added Fukua as an April Fools joke using reused Filia animations (plus some unused animations that had landed on the cutting room floor). This was a jab at Ultra Street Fighter 4, which had added Decapre, a character who used a lot of Cammy's animations (for lore reasons, mostly).

psx bloodborne kart was announced april fools 2021 and then in march 2022 they were like "no we're doing it"

THey initially planned to only have Fukua be in the game temporarily but a bunch of people said 'hey, uh, this character slaps actually' so they made her a permanant addition to the cast.
