i dreamed something involving family road trips and mama demanding i find my previous boss to ask for a week off despite noy having enough pto and also the boss was now a teacher at my school and i didn't know what my classes were or in what order or anything

there was also a bunch of unnatural stuff going on

i remember there was this little old lady who was convinced i was the police and ran away screaming every time she saw me? and her husband would just kinda chuckle good-naturedly and follow her at a walk

i kept running into her though, so i tried following her a couple times but she'd lose me in the crowd or wander into a dark hallway or something

there were some pretty creepy-looking dark areas too, like a basement or attic or something? there were very few lights in this dream

i did manage to find boss lady eventually but too many things were happening and as she was getting onto this kinda service elevator? i tried to follow after her but it wouldn't move but it turned out it needed three of us to start but two others also wanted onto the elevator and she let the three of us go ahead and i lost her

at one point my family was all eating around a picnic table? i saw a bunch of big fat juicy-looking ground squirrels a few feet away with their mouths full of something and i walked over in hopes of eating one but then some men on horseback in the opposite direction decided to shoot at the squirrels

i felt something and reached a hand up to the back of my neck and there was an arrow stuck in it? so i had to carefully remove that and then turn to accuse whoever shot me but they just laughed it off but then somebody else (i think maybe my brother?) also came to my defense

i don't remember if that got resolved at all but i sat back at the table with mama and baba and this skinny light-skinned black girl i didn't recognize (I'd describe the little old lady from earlier but she'd always run away before i could get close enough to see her? she had a pink jacket though)

i think i mentioned the men having shot me or something but mama looked straight into my eyes and said with a smile that she didn't believe me and i got Extremely Offended and raised my voice at her and stormed off and she made some kinda attempt at placating me but the point was that she never believed me and i was very mad about this

other things happened after that, like i think i found the lady in a gigantic empty gym or something (she ran again) and there was also something about video games? like gbc and older

there was some kinda caveman game with updated graphics which my brother and i agreed was supremely boring, but there was also something i was playing on some kinda hacked gameboy or something? like i'm pretty sure it was a gameboy but it was the wrong size and there were things hooked up to it and it was connected to a tv

but the battery case had no back and the batteries eventually slipped out and when i tried to put them back in it turned out the case was larger than the batteries and whatever had been helping hold them in place had also slipped out

then my brother stole the game while i was trying to figure this out because he wanted to play too (but on what?)
