1. Established couples who are still in love, still show affection, are still cozy in their relationship and want to try new things
๐ YEDONG...
I am just Tired of couples who are given endless arbitrary conflict ~to make things interesting~ and are constantly fighting or being pulled apart just to snap back together only to be pulled apart again

I am ride or die for Bob and Linda Belcher because it's so refreshing to see a TV couple with a happy marriage that can work out their conflicts like adults and actually give a damn about their kids

They do fight sometimes and one of their big flaws as a couple is they get competitive over silly things, but at the end of the day they love each other and know that they're in this life together

I hate that we went from Lucy and Ricky to just a deluge of decades of tired, jaded married couples. Like god, so many writers were mad at a good couple. And we are only just now kind of going back to happy couples.

"It's more relateable!" Is it? Maybe you need marriage counseling, god damn.

Yeah, because the unhappy couple WAS subversive at the time, and it just sort of morphed into this idea that the only way to make a couple interesting is to have them fight all the time or do the endless will they-won't they dance

2. Opposites attract, which is another dynamic Bob and Linda fill. Bob is very much an introvert and is content being the dude on the grill in the back, while Linda handles the customer service end and it's shown she's both good at it and genuinely enjoys schmoozing with people

3. Gonna echo Ami's "big loud and small king/queen" dynamic, where the Big Loud just worships and adores their small. It's adorable.

4. Generally I just really like "one party protects and utterly cherishes the other" type dynamics. I just think they're neat,
