DryadGurrl
A convo with dad on Sunday led to me falling down some kind of rabbit hole today
DryadGurrl
it started because I caught like a minute of The Connors after the show we had on the DVR, and I saw DJ for the first time, and went: "Oh, damn, he definitely looks like the same person"

DryadGurrl
like it was a genuine surprise, and then in the first few minutes of Welcome to Flatch, it came to our attention that Seann William Scott has grown into his face: https://images.plurk.com/2V6O69d36IgYuuuCHucROW.png
DryadGurrl
like, he was never particularly awkward, but: https://images.plurk.com/6UWKX1G9TR1Y3zdoV2oTlu.png
it's definitely an 'oh, you're an adult now, cool'
Sage⁉
Whoa. Stiffler is a good lookin' middle aged guy! Never expected it
DryadGurrl
because a lot of child stars of 'my era' just... don't look the same at all.
DryadGurrl
the only other one I can think that does is JGL
DryadGurrl
and much like DJ he's just a case of 'oh yes, that is what you look like as an actual adult'
Sage⁉
JGL will always look like Tommy in Various Shades of Older
DryadGurrl
exactly!
DryadGurrl
The Mowrys and Raven Symone don't count bc black don't crack anyway
DryadGurrl
you can almost still see whatsername from Full House in the Olsens, but not the same way you can with DJ and JGL
DryadGurrl
(I never watched it and only learned recently that they were playing the same character)
Sage⁉

(Most infants and young children are played by twins or triples due to labor laws.)
DryadGurrl
Seth Green still basically looks the same, Macaulay Culkin not so much, like, we still know it's him, but definitely not the same face
DryadGurrl
StupidSexyV⚠der : oh I know, I just never watched the show, and because of all the 'Olsen Twins Go To [place]" and 'Olsen Twins Do [thing]' movies at the time, I just assumed they were twins in the show too
StupidSexyV⚠der
They DID have a lot of shows where they were twins too
StupidSexyV⚠der
like SOO MANY
DryadGurrl
we watched Mystery on PBS and like, one hour of weeknight TV a week
DryadGurrl
I had a friend aghast that we didn't watch TGIF as a family: "What do you even do??"
DryadGurrl
actually, no, two hours because Roseanne was one and whatever Star Trek was another, BUT, my point is, I was startled by the fact that the kid looked the same and Stiffler grew into his face even without being particularly odd to start with
