- The face is cute, but it can be cuter. see personal fix
- Hands are certainly tough to draw, right hand looks very different from the left.
- This part made it look like the frills only cover her front.
- Mug looks unbalanced. Reference would help

Here's my personal fix:

- I mostly focused on the head, adjusting various parts
- Added a little smoke from the mug
- Covered the rest of the frill
- Used gradient map to make the colors warmer.
- Changed the ribbon to make it more accurate
- Cropped the left side for composition.

-i was planning to have the same style of hands for the left hand but i was kinda awkward for the mug when i draw it. (it looked...like it didn't have enough grip or something) xD
-ah! it was supposedly a shaded part of the apron that the light wasn't hitting

-ah, i guess my head looked a bit long.

- The art of drawing good/cute face, takes lots of practice and fine tuning the face till your satisfied indeed.
- Did you use a reference? That pose looked like you can picture/video yourself xD
- Ah I see, it looked reddish so I assumed it was the kimono shoulder my bad
- I could intensify the gradient map further but it'll feel unnatural.

- You could do Saito Naoki's approach of drawing objects/accessories to visualize them easier then fix accordingly

-yep, i used a reference pic. i can't find it though. it's buried under a bajillion other pics. xD
-no, that's my mistake. i miscolored it into a reddish color so it's my bad.
-yep, your fix is somewhere between having a midday feel and an after-work afternoon break feel.
-i wonder if that can be pulled off with something like the mug

the mug was being held by her so it's kinda hard to estimate the shape of the mug. though i guess the advantage of using that is that is that it's easy to adjust it

i guess i'll try that next time.

- Didn't use PureRef for organizing refs?
- Ah I see, seems you drew the fingers too short when compared to the reference. Drawing two hands close to each other while ensuring the held object is held at the right position is quite difficult.
- I can add more effects to make it feel more "afternoon" but oh well xD

-drawing it like in the reference kinda makes it look weird compared to slow loop characters' cute hands.

- If I were to approach this, I would put that reference pic then a lot of similar shots of Hiyori together in PureRef.
- Those are still cute girl hands. Maybe a little tinier for Slow Loop characters. Also this is one of the things that makes it hard, converting art styles/proportions.

- Oh, whichever works for you but I still highly recommend it esp. you won't have to search your multiple references again the next day.

-i usually save the sai file with the references so it's okay. i usually delete the reference file once i'm done with the art so yeah...that's why i had to dig up the reference for this one.
