Rhy, 7. yyyep. Frustrated by his lack of magic and thinking it would make him stronger, Rhy took a forbidden object from someone from a different world. Transferring objects between worlds is illegal and dangerous, and the object ended up being cursed and got him possessed by an evil queen who wanted to take over his world and killed a lot of people

He technically didn't mean for any of that damage and danger to his world to happen, but he made a really stupid choice, and considers himself responsible.

he also does plenty of morally questionable things, like gambling and technically cheating at the Fantasy Olympics he was supposed to organize lmao. but that's the one that bothers him most

Rhy, 16. hooboy Rhy is in the unfortunate position of actually having an informed opinion of this. some days, he honestly considers being brought back to life worse than dying, but he also doesn't want to die. even worse than that though would be being possessed and unable to control your own actions. being alone forever would also be worse than death.

Ciri, 1. No. But she doesn't really care at this point. What defines a 'good person' anyway? If asked, she'll say she probably isn't one. she has strong potential for darkness, and she knows it. She's willing to do a lot of bad things to protect herself and the people she loves.

overall though, she doesn't take pleasure from hurting people (except in cases of well deserved revenge tbh. it's. a problem.) and she's not "a bad person" either. she's a survivor, and she'll do what she feel she has to.

Ciri, 14. hmmm. this is interesting. Yes, early on. Not so much these days, but when she was younger and bad things just. kept happening to her. She was forced to re-examine a lot of things she grew up just accepting. Mostly, it's the people she believed in rather than spiritual beliefs or anything like that.

Ciri, 20. oh no this is hard. I think....she just....would like to be happy. with her family. keep the people she loves close and alive. I know there's the possibility for Grander Ambitions in TW3 depending on the route, but personally I just like Witcher Ciri route so I think she just wants to live her life with the ability to choose for herself

Let Ciri live her best life

in a lot of ways, Ciri's story is a subversion of the hero's journey. she is the chosen one, and she runs from it. she never really accepts it, either. everyone who helps her betrays her or goes away. she doesn't come home victorious -- she loses everything and leaves

in tw3 there's a happier and more traditionally "hero" based story where she actually has a chance to use her powers for good. obviously idk what Netflix will do! but yeah... in the books Ciri does nothing but suffer because of her Chosen One status, she's not a hero, she is just a product of hurt and awful circumstances and other people's schemes

it's. a bit too much so obviously I play her as slightly more lighthearted tw3 Ciri but I do think the Fucked Up Chosen One take on the main character is interesting!
