even though he's a planner Reim is really very present-focused and not particularly someone who thinks about legacy or that sort of thing. he would like to be thought of as competent and reliable though. he would like people to appreciate how much work he put in.
for the former he probably has had WILD stress dreams in his life because Rufus had illusion powers. so fucking anything could be a stress dream. delivering a message to someone when suddenly they turn into a giant balloon. trying to do paperwork on a desk that is slowly inflating before it explodes into confetti.
thinking he forgot the language the rest of the country speaks for half the dream and panicking before eventually realizing everyone he's been trying to talk to has been Dodo illusions and Rufus is just fucking with him

tbh pretending he doesn't know/remember/isn't thinking about something is actually like a go-to move of his. he functions in many conversations by dodging them completely
so like. baby Reim was just that all the time. then he maybe reined it in and became more cautious and hesitant overall like as he left teenagerhood and became an adult. then over the course of the canon storyline he fully went back to being that all the time
AS I SAID EARLIER HE'S ACTUALLY NOT TERRIBLY FUTURE/LEGACY-ORIENTED... he wouldn't really have anything to do with immortality for himself. but otoh I think he would cccope with being immortal pretty well?
and while he doesn't have an individual legacy he cares about, the Barma/Lunettes families kind of did, so at a certain point I think he'd just decide if he's going to be a permanent fixture on the world he might as well do that
the Barma household wanted to know everything, Reim is not really on the same level when it comes to curiosity or research chops but he would try to keep adding to it

for the current game actually it is def trusting his own judgment too much/getting carried away. he has an advantage in the fact that he has a pretty good idea of what's going on but that's also overconfidence and he will probably end up regretting a few things.

heeeee does not dodge the topic of war rooms or the fallout thereof per se but he definitely partially shuts down and just does a very matter of fact recitation when it does come up.
he does not talk to Break or Sharon about Rufus, I think he has managed to completely avoid admitting to Sharon that he spearheaded the request for the clinic [because he intentionally got hurt]
he does not want to die before Break or Sharon but this is not being proposed as an optional deal so I guess he's just going to have to suck it up and take it.
