I'm just... I'll admit that I didn't vote because I knew I couldn't possibly process all of that, but there were definitely a lot of good ones, and people put in a lot of effort, so good on all of you.
a weekend would be very good!! i always have sunday off... i think a bit more time for entrants to come in would be good too, we only had what..2ish days? it wasnt a lot to work with :[
we'll keep it in mind for next time. The problem is hitting that sweet spot between giving people enough time and not keeping things up in the air for too long
if the original announcement had all the info, maybe make note that everything needed to prepare entries is there? i think part of the issue could be that people werent sure they had all they were meant to work with/waited for that post to be sure though I fully acknowledge that I...cannot rember the post details rnow,
part of my trouble was real life things that can't be predicted interfering. I mean I wouldn't have minded a longer entry period. but it didn't feel too short for me so much as "oh man, I'm not up to write the entry today..." happening too much to me. so my fault, not anything else
and then same for the voting, though having it over a weekend might have helped... but I just didn't have the brain energy to process everything involved this time around... no one's fault, just my own issues getting in the way of a lot of it
First: congrats to the winners! I didn't get to voting but that's nobody's fault but mine because a game I play released an xpac right when it started.
I think if the idea is players are supposed to be drafting up their entries when the OOC post drops, it makes most sense to be posting the OOC and IC post together? It also gives people more time to play around the contest itself.
I do think events being earlier in the month or posted earlier in the month is another good idea- with AC as it is, it could encourage more participation on the log :0
I didn't vote but ngl more time/a weekend vote wouldn't have helped me anyway, since I'm working Saturday-Sunday-Monday + I'm extra sleepy this week and can't process things for shit |D So I'm not chalking that one up to anything but me
