I've been following this through the animated shorts, and I won't lie, "magical girls based on the 80s, 90s, and 00s fighting corrupted grimdark magical girls from the 10s" is a very strong premise.

One that could go very wrong, but the level of care and attention the visuals and music have had make me happy.

Even the protag of the 00s group being a self-loathing loner whose team is trying to reach out to her makes sense because the grimdark era actually had its roots in that time before Madoka blew it up in 2011, though I still have to admit I'm holding my breath.

Oh this sounds real good tho

i'm tentatively excited

there's a lot of love, knowledge and respect for classical shows here which gives me some willingness to believe this is a good faith attempt to tell this story
