The Ukraine = When the USSR still existed, they couldn't/wouldn't refer to it as only Ukraine because that was ~~~divisive~~~ so they called it The Ukraine [Territory] so when Russia/Putin/right-wingers who still think the USSR is a thing and/or accidentally agree with Putin and those who haven't really adjusted do that now ->
