little prince : yeah that "miscalculation" piece definitely has some skew to it (strongly coded diction about Russians being "doped up" on RT, downplaying the complicated sentiments of a non-monolithic Ukrainian population, etc) but has at least some valid analysis in there
Pteryx
Exacerangutan : Concerning the "doped up" comment, I've gotten the sense that the English-speaking press generally feels a need to speak strongly against disinformation and its sources lately, out of a sense that having treated it as a valid "side" in coverage for years might be partially responsible for how wrong things have gone.
Exacerangutan
Pteryx : hrmn... maybe? (thinking) the phrasing strikes me as a little weirdly judgmental toward Russians, given the implied analogy. it could be intended to indicate the presence of bias and misinformation in RT, but it reads more like an ad hominem than a criticism of RT's content.
