Hm. I like Red (FR), Hilbert, Hilda, and the girl from Sword and Shield. Mostly the last one because I can't unhear her with an aggressive Scottish accent
Nate looks easygoing, but he's got a small competitive fire in him and OG Red has the classic "I WANNA BE THE VERY BEST" vibe while his FG/LG counterpart looks like he's seen some shit
what I find hilarious is when fandom clocks a protag design with like, a super out-of-nowhere trait... like, there isnt anything in the design specifically that would imply this, but I remember fondly when people gave Gloria a scottish accent
I def. remember everyone thought Marnie was going to be the Gladion 2.0 where she'd be chunni and edgy, but turned out that she's a sweet girl but has trouble emoting
Even in the Sword and Shield designs, you can see little details like the Boy designs has ripped jeans and the girl has that cute little sweater top... Small details like that can say a lot
Paul meeting Ash again should be interesting since man their rivalry was so intense... He's probably the one rival that got under Ash's skin on a moral level
