Here's something I want from a number of games

if a merchant has special dialogue for if you don't buy anything from them

they should have DIFFERENT special dialogue if you don't buy anything from them because you could not afford any of it

"Oh? You have no interest in my wares?" no I'm poor

“I’ll be back in like twenty minutes I just need to kill a bunch of people”

How is the game supposed to know that

the game knows the price of items and it knowns my money supply

i love the idea of making it look like every shopkeeper in the world just takes one look at you and goes "ah, you're fucking broke"

that would be hilarious

they don't need to know I'm broke on sight! just if I look into the menu, see nothing but red numbers, then back out, they shouldn't be offended that I hate all their items

Instead they’re offended that you’re wasting their time shopping while broke

yeah i wish games would do this too

it always annoys me when they act like i'm not interested in anything when it's actually that i'm broke

Game: You leave because you HATE ALL PRIESTS

yeah I hate all priests because they overcharge for healing services

(Actually in that case 75 gold is usually a pretty good deal)

Yeah, same.

Cleric's offering to remove a curse or heal me, I have no curses and my HP is full, it should be understood that I'm offering a polite "no thank you, I don't need that right now" and moving on, not declining as a fuck you.
