There was a study done in my city recently showing the more affluent areas where people had more time/excess income to plant & water trees and greenery were almost 10 degrees cooler than the poorer neighborhoods. The biggest difference was because of the concrete and asphalt being dominant instead of plants and living soil, which also alters humidity.
