my old Windows 7 Fujitsu laptop died. It powers up but doesn't boot. I can hear the HD (I think).

it appears to me the hard drives after 2008 are not as robust as the older ones. Most of my IDE drives are still functional while almost all my SATA drives have failed and been replaced at least once.
