hm... can't think of any mind control right now, but the tdm, at least, will include characters' bodies being unable to move unless they are headed in a certain direction, if that counts!
nah that's fine. more like... I dunno forcing certain emotions or reactions on people, hypnosis, vampire glamors, etc. bodies not cooperating isnt' the same.
Gosh, the characters I'm looking at right now, besides OCs, are Jean Tannen from the Gentleman Bastards books, Shiroe from Log Horizon or Moonshade from the Elfquest comics.

I'm specifically talking the Turn of a Friendly Card album--for a casino-themed Durance. But right now, I think I may be launching a canon character at the TDM first, because I realized this might be a good setting for Johnny Summer from Lavender Jack.
oh yeah, that album would make sense for it! I think I'm going to keep an eye on this and watch how the TDM goes before making any firm decisions. i had to look up lavender jack and i may need to look into that further

- It's a damned good webcomic. The author's got a real feel for chekov's background characters and economy of characters. The alternate history means the author can just...do away with racism and homophobia and transphobia in his world and just have a lesbian great detective and her artist wife as characters.
honestly for me the appeal is 10000% the old school jamjar approach. I feel like I thought I wanted plots or factions or whatnot but nah just give me spooky jamjar I guess. I'll be there!
