So as soon as we come in and meet Hermes and Meteion, I was bracing myself for 'oh no. Something terrible is gonna happen to this character, isn't she? Like, one of the ascians is going to disapprove of her existence and be eliminated and that leads to Final Day, right?'
For a while it really seemed like things were actually going fine and despite theories, there seemed to be no catalyst for the Final Days that we could come up with. Speculations, sure, but no confirmation, but then... the report comes in.
And At first I thought 'so what could be so bad in the report?' and even hearing the report it was very 'oh... well.... that is pretty grim but why would that be a problem? Where are we going with this?'
It isn't til the dungeon 4 completion that it becomes clear.
Meteion being an entity composed of dynamis is therefore more affected by emotions, as was established, and little cookie crumbs were scattered throughout the zone's plotline, resulting in that final realization that by absorbing and reporting all the negativity from the other stars, she would be affected, and...
when I was expecting something to happen to this character, I wasn't expecting it to be a "Break the Cutie" combined with "Woobie Destroyer of Worlds" plot.
So... the turn upset me but it's in a good way, cause I wasn't sure how things were going to go. Course, I still have one final quest before I finish the zone and report back to the team, but I'm curious where this is going to go now that we have this info.
the only thing I'm unsure of is: is it too late now to save this character? What happened to her wasn't her own fault, but the break the cutie conclusion she comes to a combination of Ultron with Seymour from FFX. Not to mention, it's hard to say if the personality we came to know is still there.

: The boys are good. Emet is so catty. I'm surprised he sat through the whole retelling of WoL's story without an outburst about how he's depicted until afterwards.
Well...
