WHO WAS IT THAT WAS LOOKING AT A CRICUT AND I PROMIDED BOOKMARK PICTURES AND THEN FORGOT TO POST THEM??? Because I found my bookmarks. Pictures inside WARNING I AM A NERD
For anyone wondering, the first two that are the same in black and white, if you were to flip it so the crescent was on the bottom - it reads "Shh I'm Counting"
I did like that one too! Everything else in my apartment is blue/yellow although I love purple. Yay! I just really want to make my stickers and bookmarks and random things like that. SO. Yay!
I need to get back into bookmark designs. I have a small batch of the Gallifreyan bookmarks I made - a friend requested some knitting sayings so the only one not pictured is the Knit One, Perl One bookmark from that set
Heh, thanks! I love the language and how... different it looks depending on the artist. Liike you can have six people do the exact same phrase and come out with different stylistic choices so they look different despite all saying the same thing
Depends on what all you're looking for. I tend to wait for 2 for 1 sales at JoAnn and Michaels when I'm hunting for vinyl if you wanted to do like car decals and things.
if you're considering coasters or bags - the same would go for their infusible ink - though quality wise I'd stick to the round coasters. The square ones are SUPER flimsy for the same price
also if you're looking at coasters or bags, I'd wait for one of their Easy Presses to go on sale and grab one for those - my friend got the tiny one and gets frustrated with it for coasters - I got the 12x12 and can do four coasters in one heat press and they've come out beautifully.
also - for vinyl/infusible ink/foil rolls that are round - if you have somewhere to hang it like off a bookshelf or on a wall - those shoe organizers with the little pouches for pairs or single shoes - works REALLY well for the roll organization
because the same machine works well for both the foil application to the printed medium if you go the laser printer route, as well as the lammination because you can get the pouches so you can laminate 4-5 book marks at the same time
I say with the cricut stuff, when in doubt, use the stuff to run a test first just to ensure it comes out the way you expect, because on occasion, mine has not. LMAO
So from what I understand most people who make stickers do the artwork all on their iPad/Photoshop/program that's not cricut and then save it as a png image - so it doesn't have the background around it past where you want the background to go. which means they can use whatever fonts they want.
cricut software does have free fonts, and will register any fonts you have on your computer for use - however if you're like me and you design on one PC and print/cricut off a separate PC, and the font isn't on the PC you're cricuting from - if you try to edit the font it will change it to a font it recognizes
like, I have a few files where I designed something but used the actual text in Cricut to make the font stuff, so I have special fonts from publishing stuff on my design PC. But if I touch any of those text files on my printing PC, Cricut's like, NOPE! ARIEL IT IS
WARNING I AM A NERDbecause being in Gallifreyan makes it SO MUCH FUNNIER FIGHT MEyes, I write in gallifreyan, I'm that much of a fucking nerd too
