there are a lot of anti-science, anti-vax, anti-mask sociopaths out there (and a trucker is less likely to be on the educated side). The commenter is merely mocking them.

the commenter is mocking them. But it's hard to tell. It was part of a fair bank of, "hard to tell" stuff. It's "edge lord humour" which... I feel too often ends up getting a pass, because "oh really a great guy, but the humour is really dark and sketchy." Then... You find out that the humour really was the real thing, and the "great guy" was an act.
