It keeps giving me Spider-Man tidbits. Did you know that the back stretching scene was a continuation of SP2's reference to back issues he got from the set Seabiscuit? That's not really something I need taking up space in my brain, but I guess it's cute that it has meaning.

That's probably part of it! I haven't rewatched SP2 but I know there's a scene where he falls on a car and hurts his back, which is the seabiscuit ref, so anything else about his back is probs also a callback. He almost had to be recast, it was so bad, but they made a running gag out of it instead
