July, July
Going from almost entirely being a lump from two years (from the pandemic) to walking about 3.5 miles in a day a few days in a row... Oh boy!

In case you are wondering: Yes, this was HUBRIS. A LOT OF HUBRIS.

Aquifoliaceae

Aquifoliaceae
do you have a bathtub or just shower
![](https://avatars.plurk.com/8593600-medium2.gif)
July, July
I have a bathtub, thankfully!

And the water runs hot, haha.

July, July
I'm currently not sore, but I can definitely feel it in my bad knee and I definitely feel it stamina wise.

I ran around campus for about four hours scoping everything out (so what would have been about 2~ miles turned into that 3.5 from the extra milling around and circling around) and got back and immediately passed out

July, July
I was planning on applying for a campus library job ASAP but uh
![](https://avatars.plurk.com/8593600-medium2.gif)
July, July
I'm thinking it might be wiser for me to possibly hold off on that for at least the spring and work on building up my stamina and endurance again.

July, July
Because if I'm exhausting myself to the point of crashing from just 8k~ steps I probably shouldn't push myself to do that regularly if I'm going to be doing classes that require my brain and energy.

Nox
I would strongly recommend you hold off until you know you can handle it
![](https://avatars.plurk.com/7793960-medium23565332.gif)
Nox
both for stamina reasons and also because I can say from experience it's going to be EXHAUSTING if you already have a massive academic workload on top of it all, and it's going to absolutely tank your mental health if it isn't something you can handle
![](https://avatars.plurk.com/7793960-medium23565332.gif)
Nox
and grad school will definitely come with a workload
![](https://avatars.plurk.com/7793960-medium23565332.gif)
Nox
and when you've already come this far I know I'd definitely be happier to see you actually get the degree over being miserable and burning out
![](https://avatars.plurk.com/7793960-medium23565332.gif)
Nox
(degree? diploma? idk which is the right word for grad school)
![](https://avatars.plurk.com/8593600-medium2.gif)
July, July
I basically learned that lesson my very first time with undergrad, yeah.

July, July
25-35 hours a week with fulltime school and taking the bus to and from is not actually remotely sustainable on any level for energy levels even for a healthy and then in-shape 18 year old!
![](https://avatars.plurk.com/7793960-medium23565332.gif)
Nox
nooooo it is not
![](https://avatars.plurk.com/8593600-medium2.gif)
July, July
So yeah I guess this semester is
