HOLY SHIT someone KNEW they were positive and went to ANIME LA???? this is why I never leave my house!!!!

At this point I just assume the people around me are not going to be responsible

We've pretty much narrowed down our massive outbreak at work to, at least in part, a shift lead that knew he was sick for three straight days and just tried to "work through it" (frequently without a mask)

this is why i haven't left my house except for errands and important job stuff in two years

And now half the team I'm on are out with positive tests.

this is why i make panicked noises when people say they're going to conventions because things like this keep happening and i want everyone to be safe but also i don't want to be the downer friend

we had been hoping to go to Worldcon last month but looked at the State of Things and decided not to...and on day like two they sent an email around "a member of staff just tested positive"

so

Not Going To Places is the best choice

Mmmhmmm it's just not a great idea especially with mom and dad's health

yeah i avoid going into grocery stores too when i can

luckily my boss is responsible and when his daughter tested positive their fam immediately quarantined her in her own part of the house, wore masks whenever they brought her something, and isolated themselves as well
