Wasn’t able to make it to church today because mrs beken has COVID and I am self isolating for the week. So one of the church’s chefs just came by and dropped off a meal that I can reheat for dinner tonight. Some soup, sandwiches, fruit and cookies

Mr Bill : yes. My church provides meals for volunteers that do long hours, homeless and people in need, and events that might need food services. The pandemic has caused two of the three chefs to be layed off and no food services for events. But people still knock on the door asking for food so the need is still there.

I attend a fairly big church that is quite involved in the community. It has been a struggle adhering to all the changing COVID rules and remaining relevant and focused to the cause.

The two chefs that got layed off have found jobs elsewhere, but still come back as volunteers.
