[Endwalker] Okay, finished all the role quests

Healer > Ranged Physical >> Caster > Melee = Tank is how I’d rank them

Healer and ranged physical are the obvious winners, with Healer coming out in top by virtue of Healing being, like, the theme of the Healer one

While I think in general they’re not as good as the Shadowbringers ones (only the top two being on a similar level as the Shadowbringers ones) I didn’t actively dislike any of them

Even the Tank one, which I think has more going on than people give it credit for

If anything, it may have too much going on because Gridania has been fairly neglected and they have to establish a bunch of stuff in a hurry

It’s true that apart from healer none of them really had much to do with their roles but honestly...I’m fine with that

In ShB only Caster and Healer really had much of anything to do with their roles

Just, I think the Blasphemies are a much weaker hook than the Cardinal Virtues were

But that’s hard to hold against them too much

The Cardinal Virtues were an uncommonly good hook.

In other news, cleared the first EX trial

I have mostly figured out the mechanics, to the point where I’d feel comfortable having the dorito on my head

But I do still sometimes have trouble if the snakes are on the opposite side from where I need to stand

Also every now and then I just die, for no apparentl reason? Only thing I can think of is the healers are doing mechanics instead of healing me and I die to autos (as a tank)
