HAHA WELL my best friend, who i saw on Saturday (i was coming back from her house when the Tire Exploded) just texted me

she tested positive for COVID today

she has no idea where she got it from

and I went to the grocery store today

i feel awful for her because she has to quarantine thru the new year and is gonna miss all her holiday plans, of which she has a ton (big xmas family)

awww crap

at least it's a good excuse not to have to go to my family's xmas party, which I wasn't feeling great about anyway (most of my aunts/uncles are pretty elderly and some are frail)

I'm fully vaxxed and I got my booster like three weeks ago, like a week before my mom's kidney procedure, so even if I DO get it i'm sure I'll be fine

i'm having to stay mostly away from my mom tho which is making me cranky >:\

i guess i'll have to go to walgreens tomorrow and get tested?? this sucks real bad I am not insured rn

they really love to do this thing of like "free() testing" with the () being "with insurance" and then they DON'T tell you how much it's gonna cost WITHOUT insurance like

there should be govt funds for the uninsured but idk abt your state, ive never had anyone come back telling me they got charged by the lab for their tests in ca or wa

the lab charge for a pcr test is 129 IF they charge you but the pharmacy will not know in advance if they will

thats for pcr tests, im not sure about rapid bc wa has a govt issued ins for rapid tests specifically

leaving it up to the lab is a mistake imo
