So I've been pretty vocal about my love of the past Spider-Man movie series, Amazing Spider-Man despite its many flaws, and I've felt alone for so long (FFH-adjacent spoiler talk inside)

now everyone and their mother is crawling out of the woodwork declaring their love of Garfield's Spidey

also, to the person who saw "why did you never make TASM 3" tweets and raised "okay but what if he fights and/or teams up Tom Hardy's Venom", you are my new personal goddamn hero

I have so many thoughts about the Amazing Spider-Man movies

I feel like FFH proved that they could do more with the quips because Andrew Garfield held his own way better than Cool Youth Pastor Tobey Maguire (who admittedly I never liked as Spidey, even in the aughts)

also FFH proved they completely wasted Jamie Fox in TASM2, because his Electro was fucking amazing (maybe not true to the character, admittedly I've not read much with him in it, but just as a character and his character's arc)

(every time they brought up the eels I lost it)

anyway yes there should be a third movie, thank you everyone else for finally realizing it

if anyone else needs convincing, please see the scene where he properly saves MJ from falling from a large height, and every expression on his face from beginning to end

I've thought further about Garfield vs Hardy and that would fulfill Garfield!Parker's wish to fight an alien. He was very sad he didn't fight an alien and the others did

all the more reason this should happen

I rewatched both movies and I remember liking 1 but honestly 2 held up better than I remembered

I think some costuming changes for Electro and Goblin and maybe some jettisoning of the conspiracy subplot would have helped it a lot

yeah, and toning down the cartoonishness of Max pre-eel
