that said, we did add in cranberry orange shortbread which came out amazing, which is extra shocking because we made them gluten free and vegan, and the recipe is meant to be neither of those things
we also made some sugar cookies sugar free, meaning we had four kinds of sugar cookie dough alone to work with, but we think they came out pretty well too!
the only "mishap" was that the margarine for the pfeffernusse was a little warmer than room temperature, which we believe was the main reason that we've now created our very own "flaternusse" cookies, but I've been told they're also yummy so that's not a complete loss then, really
