I pushed myself to draw original lately, this one was my successful attempt. i put it on my weebly site. hopefully one day the site will be filled with my original and graphic design portfolios. wish me luck!
A random man wore a gorilla printed jacket sat on his motorcycle inspired me to draw this. A small narrative came up on my mind: what if he was waiting for his friend? And why not I turn that scene into my OCs? So I did. Such a random way for ideas to come but I usually get them like this XD.
Motorcycle is memorable part in my life, I remember strolled the city with my college friend as the driver. We went places from where we could find old buildings, to high hill where the motorcycle couldn’t go up any further and we almost fall into a cliff. Such a good memory, I wonder if she keeps that in her mind too.
I barely had time to draw after work, clock is ticking and my energy drained. So I thought using gradient map is best to make a 3 hour drawing not looking so raw. Still trying to find the right formula of colors though, for now i only use the default ones.

: Happy New Year! It's great to see you start drawing your own original work and build your own web site! All of there is so exciting. I like how you change a ordinary scene into story. There is a saying that "Art comes from life" and I think what you did was that!
The detail on the motorcycle is great. From the realistic details I can feel that you are a driver who own a real one. Your memory is so vulnerable and it will be a good story. It's hard to draw after work so please take your time. No need to hurry. BTW I like the gradient map you use on the work! Maybe we can have a sharing session of gradient map someday!
Awirn: Happy new year to you too! I've been enjoying making OCs lately! I will show more work soon! I'm glad to hear that, though it's only a spontaneous method to help on curing artblock but its best to make something relatable to some audiences.
Awirn: No doubt about that! I went to school by motorcycle when i was in high school. but i now i'm too scared to do that. I think i can fetch the gradient map palette for you, i will send it later.
Awirn: Sure! I'd like to have a sharing session! Iately i've been using Google Meet to share live tutorials with my coworkers, i think it is a great tool, maybe we can use that, and of course we can turn off mic if you are uncomfortable with sharing with voice.
