i dreamed we were at a little chinese market and mama was criticizing my shopping choices but i grabbed a bag of sour plums and she couldn't deny that she wanted some too so she stopped complaining

when i got to the counter i realized i'd left one of my gloves over somewhere around the pocky aisle and asked mama to go pick it up while i paid, and meanwhile the cashier had flipped through the free planner i got from work and declared it cool (it was a 2021 planner)

i say "the cashier" but this was a family-run business and the cashier i think was the husband? so his wife and son also peeked at this planner, which was connected to my wallet somehow

then as we were leaving, i think? we got news that my cousin sean's friend had suddenly got sick and died, leaving behind a wife (i don't know any of sean's friends) but aside from mama trying to bring this up as a conversation topic it was mostly ignored in favor of us jogging across a partially shaded valley in the savannah

i don't know where my groceries went but i told mama that my planner (a different one from the work one) listed 12 different geographic locations and i made it a point to visit each one for the exercise

this other planner was apparently an ff14 planner and tye places i was talking about were in the video game but i made an extra point to tell mama i was visiting real locations in real life

the thanalan music was playing in the background...near the beginning of this jog we were behind a bunch of unknown girls i worried were dangerous somehow but mama didn't care and we ended up passing the silent faceless strangers without issue

as we were turning around at the end of this savannah area i started describing the thunder plains from ff10 but mama as usual couldn't stick to the topic and while i don't remember the rest of the conversation (besides mama asking if i knew about sean's friend's death) i did stop at a wrecked(?) car to scavenge(?)

there was a guy sleeping in the passenger seat though so we had to be careful

my sister also started singing around here, and she had a very nice singing voice, and i picked up a half-eaten chocolate bar and mentioned i liked the song it played and when i opened the cardboard packaging this song started playing

i don't remember if it was just the tune or if the girl on the cover was singing (she had tiny pigtails high up on her sandy blonde head and an evil smirk on her face) but mama liked it and demanded more and sis reminded her i'd already said half the song was eaten

oh yeah when mama brought up the death topic she asked me about...something in that theme, and i told her something about how i'd mourned grandpopsi? or how i got over it? i don't remember
