Lord Nick
[Masters of the Universe Revelations] Just some thoughts here. Also spoiler territory.

Lord Nick
Something I thought was a bit odd at first was that, apparently, you don't need to be chosen to use the Power of Grayskull. All you need is to be currently holding the sword. But the more I think about it, the more I think I get the idea behind it

Lord Nick
The Power itself doesn't really mean anything and neither does having it. Holding the Power doesn't mean you're the chosen one, it just means that you can point a sword upwards and string two sentences together.

Lord Nick
Skeletor basically does nothing with it and Evil-Lyn decides to end the universe and the Power doesn't care either way.

Lord Nick
Adam is the "chosen one" because he's actually wielding it for a purpose, not just to have it

Lord Nick
"He had all the power in the universe at his fingertips and only ever called it down when someone else needed it."

Lord Nick
Adam isn't special because he's He-Man. He-Man is special because he's Adam.

Lord Nick
I dunno, that's all. I just thought that was a good bit of theming for the show.

CJ
as a huge superman fan, i approve of this thesis statement

Lord Nick
CJ
: The parallels are real.

Lord Nick
Honestly, I always kind of thought of He-Man as the least interesting character on his own show. This one made me appreciate him more.

✧ Navigator ✧
i really liked that he stayed himself in preternium, instead of being his musclebound self

Lord Nick
Yeah, I liked that too

Lord Nick
The most humble Champion.

Lord Nick
Also, I just want to throw this out because holy fuck this scene was hype.
