It seems like when my job used FedEx they were the shipping company we got the most complaints on.

No hard data on that or anything, just anecdotal.

I had a package a couple of weeks ago they kept lying about

fedex is super slow and never keeps it's delivery promises, but ontrac is legit the worst in my experience

There's a regular small crop of FedEx 'we tried!!!' slips at the front door, but there is not a new one for us for today.

When they say they tried.

I'm not wholly convinced they even came to the front door.

I had headphones on, but Matt presumably would have heard a knock, and definitely would have noticed if they'd tried buzzing his phone to get in, SINCE HE WAS LITERALLY HOLDING IT.

One time they tried that on a friend of mine, and she replied to them that she had been sitting on her front porch grading papers for fourteen hours straight, without even a bathroom break, and they apologized and told her that they'd actually just lost the package.

It turned up eventually and did arrive, late of course.
