[work stuff/racism] god im so tired and that means my tolerance for not biting customers that piss me off is at an all-time low

without getting into specifics i work for an edtech company and every time we run a course we do a very comprehensive NPS survey, and the results are coming in from the most recent one we just wrapped this week

in every course we always have a guest lecturer, and in this one we had a very accomplished top-tier executive who happened to be a black woman

and our three lowest NPS scores on this survey thus far are all from white men going "uhmmm i thought the guest lecture was sloppy :/"

literally. no mention of this anywhere else. people were openly praising it like right after it happened. we have heard NO other complaints about this

"The lecture was sloppy" what the fuck does that even mean.

Did the lecture leave dirty laundry everywhere instead of putting it in the hamper. Did it spill coffee on the floor. What.

the lecturer was a powerful black woman and "sloppy" is just vague enough to mask their fragility (they think)

racism and misogyny wrapped up in a toxic little bow. hate to see it

I mean, we know that's what it actually is, but I'm curious how they thought that was even remotely going to disguise that.
