You're Quinner
[cradle] getting back to Underlord and musing about shonen batttle manga dimensional power theory
You're Quinner
it was first used to describe bleach but I feel like Cradle does something similar
You're Quinner
and the idea is that the more different sources of power you draw from, the more fundamentally powerful you are
You're Quinner
treating each power source as an axis of space
You're Quinner
the cradle example
You're Quinner
you can train your physical body to be stronger and faster
You're Quinner
this is one axis
You're Quinner
your power can become a very large line
You're Quinner
but if someone else is using sacred arts, they have access to madra
You're Quinner
and madra becomes another axis
You're Quinner
so their power is now 2-dimensional
You're Quinner
and a 2-dimensional shape has infinitely more area than a 1-dimensional line
You're Quinner
so anyone with madra can essentially beat anyone without
You're Quinner
but once you hit underlord, the reason it's such an unbreakable wall
You're Quinner
is because underlords can weave aura into soulfire
You're Quinner
and soulfire is a third dimension
You're Quinner
turning that square into a cube
You're Quinner
and the reason you basically never see a gold touch an underlord is that a square, no matter how vast, has zero volume
You're Quinner
soulfire adds another axis and that makes it unbeatable
You're Quinner
the original theory was that the reason ichigo keeps getting so op is because he's constantly adding new power sources - soul reaper, hollow, fullbring, quincy
You're Quinner
and he ends up with so many power axes that nothing else can possibly touch him
BWAAAAAH!
Multiclassing is OP

this is how a lot of genetic advantage works. It's not that there's one best gene, it's that there are thousands that positively affect a given trait and you just want more, more, more.
