Even my 'newest' car (which was 7 years old when I got it) they didn't bloody work

what is a headlight alignment adjuster even

it's the thing that sets the height of your headlights. So if you're towing something you can adjust your headlights down so they don't blind other users

our van doesn't even have. a towbar

We don't have those here. I don't even fully know what goes on . Is it just a mechanic checking the car over for "issues" the powers that be don't like?

Anarya : It's to check a vehicle is safe to be on the road. It checks stuff like tyres, emissions, safety equipment like seatbelts, brakes, lights etc.

It has weird exemptions, like if your car is less than 3 years old you don't have to test or if it is more than 40 years old without any major changes

We use to have something like that but they did away with it before I actually got my license. I think there might be some states that still have something similar

I don’t think I’ve ever used that feature on any car.. I don’t even know if my car has that feature
