The thing that sucks about muting people is it doesn't prevent you from inferring they said something stupid/insensitive etc based on how others respond to what they say.

But seriously, I get that. There are a few people that it's like you know instantly "xyz has entered the chat" and it makes me bristle. I often end up muting the entire plurk so I don't fixate on what idiocy they decided to spew.
